Ingredients:
- 2.5 cups all purpose flour.
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 stick cold butter
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp lemon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg beaten
- In a large bowl, mix flour with salt, baking powder and sugar. Add the butter then rub it with your fingers until the mixture looks like fine crumbs.
- Heat up the milk on a stove until warm, but not hot. Add the vanilla essence and lemon juice and set aside for a moment. Line the baking sheet with the silicone baking mat.
- Add the milk mixture with the dry ingredients and mix quickly with hand or fork.
- Scatter some flour on the surface and tip the dough out. Dredge the dough and your hand with a little more flour. Then fold the dough over 2 to 3 times. Don't overwork the dough.
- Use 2.5 inches cookie cutter and cut circles from the rolled dough.
- Brush the tops with egg wash. Put them in a baking tray and bake them for 15 minutes at 200 degree Celsius.
